Other things...

Ok how many is that now? Three? Alright, I have to take a break from my Disney blogs because there's just too many other things to report.

I woke up this morning to the sound of some woman yelling from outside our door (or maybe it was her door) that there was snow on the ground. Yup. It briefly crossed my mind to run out there and take a picture of snow in Florida for all of you, but I rolled over instead.

So what to do in Florida when it's freezing? Go to an open flea market with the in-laws of course!

We hit the Daytona Farmer and Flea Market and did a little "bargain hunting." We froze. The kids froze. But we're no push overs. We circled around in there for a good while before realizing it was the same junk we saw last year still sitting there.

Helena bought something. While waiting to pay the woman serving her was saying that she mustn't have been from around here because she didn't look very cold. Ha! The woman was all frazzled too because she couldn't stop knocking things off of her display with the "big winter coat" she was wearing. You should see these Floridians when it's cold, they're soooo cute.

In case you're wondering, yeah, that's Connie there. She arrived on Wednesday. Never did hear whether or not the airport delivered her lost bag. Aaaanyways, we parted ways with the parents and did what any other American would do after freezing at a flea market, we ate.

You might recognize our favorite eating establishment? After a hearty meal we headed over to Wal-Mart for some shopping. We all picked up a little something and then it was time to drop off auntie Connie and go home. Once again we're all completely pooped and ready for bed. It's supposed to warm up, but I've given up hope on that.

  1. It's freezing cold in Florida and Alexandria is still wearing a skirt. Good for her.

  3. I can't believe how cold it's been!! What a bummer...at least, you're making the best of it. Hopefully this coming week will make up for all the cold you've had. Bye. Anna
