The Beach

I'm sitting here on the beach getting some serious rays.  It's finally a warm day with plenty of sunshine.  Well, it's only been cloudy twice since we've been here but it's been pretty cold.  This slight increase in temp feels good.  I might just get a tan after all.  Sitting here without a shirt watching the Floridians go by in their winter coats, hats and scarves is pretty funny though.  I think they get a bigger kick out of seeing me than I do of seeing them.  It's a win win situation really.

So we've been doing a lot of things these past few days.  The girls go off to their "Kiddy Corner" almost every day to do some craft or another.  We've also done a ton of swimming at the indoor pool.  Alexandria with floaties is quite a thing to see.  She's not scared of the water one bit.  Which is both good and bad, but if you're watching her, it's safe.

The park has also proven to be a daily routine.  Olivia just loves the monkey bars but admittedly, I'm getting tired of having to help all the time.  It's still good for a laugh though.

We also went off bowling and the girls liked that a lot.  They didn't have those kiddie balls so it was 6lbs big balls for the girls.  They did just fine.  Alexandria refused any help but did just fine.  I had paid for the alley by the hour which turned out to be a huge mistake.  We couldn't finish a single game in an hour.  If we'd paid by the game we could have just played until those terribly slow kiddie shots reached their goals.

I, of course, struck up a conversation with the family next to us.  That made them friendly enough to offer us the second game they had paid for.  They decided they wanted to leave and had paid for a second game.  I think they felt bad that we had paid by the hour and told us they made that mistake once before too.  The girls were grateful and we played another round.

It takes strong muscles to play bowling.  You knew that right?
